Trewa Village, Jammu – May 11, 2025( OT webdesk) – The mortal remains of Rifleman Sunil Kumar arrived today in his hometown, Trewa village, where an outpouring of grief and patriotism marked his final journey.
Kumar, a dedicated member of the J&K Light Infantry, lost his life during intense cross-border shelling in the RS Pura sector, leaving behind a legacy of valour and duty.
His funeral procession witnessed the participation of military officials, local leaders, and thousands of citizens who came together to pay their last respects.
The atmosphere resonated with slogans honouring his sacrifice, with chants of “Shaheed Sunil Kumar Amar Rahe” filling the air.
The Indian Army, alongside local administration representatives, assured Kumar’s family of support and expressed gratitude for his unwavering service in safeguarding the nation.
