Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), Aug 26: Odisha is expected to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall until August 30, influenced by a well-marked low-pressure area over Gangetic West Bengal. This system is anticipated to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, and northern Odisha over the next two days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also forecasted the formation of a new low-pressure area over the east-central and adjoining north Bay of Bengal on August 29.

Heavy Rainfall Expected: Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Bargarh, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Balangir, and Kalahandi.
August 29:
Heavy Rainfall Expected: Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
August 30:
Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall Expected: One or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, and Rayagada. Heavy rainfall is also likely in Ganjam, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Khurda, Puri, Nayagarh, Balangir, and Nuapada.
