IMD Sounds Yellow Alert for Dense Fog in Odisha Till Feb 18
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow warning for dense fog across several districts of Odisha, effective until February 18, 2026.
According to the IMD bulletin, dense fog is likely to affect Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Puri, Khordha, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack on February 17.
On February 18, the warning extends to Kendrapara, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, and Gajapati.
In addition, shallow to moderate fog conditions may occur during early morning hours in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, and Dhenkanal on both days.
The IMD has advised commuters and motorists to exercise caution while traveling in the early hours, as reduced visibility could pose risks to road safety.
