IMD issues dense fog warning for 12 Odisha districts on February 6

Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Feb 5: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a dense fog warning for 12 districts of Odisha on February 6, advising commuters to remain cautious due to low visibility in the early morning hours.
According to the IMD, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Ganjam, Keonjhar, Nayagarh, and Angul are likely to experience dense fog, affecting transportation and daily activities.
Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is expected in these districts, as well as in parts of Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Kalahandi, and Angul during the early morning hours. On February 7, dense fog is predicted at one or two places over Bhadrak, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Khurda, Nayagarh, Angul, and Dhenkanal.
The IMD has further warned that dense fog is likely in Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapada, Nayagarh, and Ganjam on February 8. Commuters have been urged to exercise caution while traveling, especially on highways, due to significantly reduced visibility.
Despite the foggy conditions, the IMD has predicted dry weather across Odisha until February 15, providing some relief from extreme winter conditions.
