Humane Sagar’s Mother Alleges Exploitation Behind Singer’s Untimely Death

The sudden demise of Ollywood’s beloved singer Humane Sagar has left Odisha’s music industry and fans in shock.

As tributes pour in, his mother, Shefali Suna, has made serious allegations against his close aides, accusing them of exploiting him despite his deteriorating health.

Shefali claimed that Sagar’s personal assistants, Papu and Prashant, along with a young woman named Arpita Choudhury, forced him to perform stage shows even when he was unwell, denying him rest and medical care. She alleged that Arpita deceived him and subjected him to extreme mental stress, pushing him into depression.

Born in Titlagarh, Balangir district, Humane Sagar displayed musical talent from childhood. After losing his father and younger brother, he lived in Cuttack with his mother, a school teacher. His melodious voice and chart-topping Odia songs earned him immense popularity across the state.

On Tuesday, his mortal remains were taken from Cuttack to his native village in Titlagarh for the last rites. Thousands of grieving fans are expected to pay their respects. His death leaves a void in Odia music that will be difficult to fill.
