Health, Revenue, PR & DW Departments Get New OAS Leadership in Odisha
The Government of Odisha has announced a major reshuffle of senior Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) officers, with transfers and postings across multiple departments.
The notifications, issued by the General Administration & Public Grievance Department in Bhubaneswar, aim to streamline governance and strengthen administrative efficiency.
Key departments impacted include Health & Family Welfare, Panchayati Raj & Drinking Water (PR & DW), Revenue & Disaster Management (DM), and Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC).
The reshuffle is expected to bring renewed focus on public service delivery, policy execution, and departmental coordination.
This move comes amid a series of administrative changes in the state, including the elevation of senior IAS officer Chithra Arumugam as Additional Chief Secretary.
The government has also recently approved 284 new posts to boost the fisheries and horticulture sectors, signalling its commitment to strengthening governance and development initiatives.
Observers note that such reshuffles are part of Odisha’s ongoing efforts to adapt to evolving administrative needs and ensure effective leadership across critical departments.
