The first look, revealed by Hombale Films on Instagram, has ignited fan excitement across the country.
Directed and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the film promises to delve deeper into the spiritual and folkloric roots of the franchise, blending raw emotion with cultural mysticism.
Shetty reprises his central role, while Devaiah’s casting introduces a fresh dynamic to the narrative.
Backed by Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films, the project boasts a stellar crew including cinematographer Arvind S. Kashyap and composer B. Ajaneesh Loknath—both returning to elevate the film’s visual and sonic landscape.
Kantara Chapter 1 is slated for a global theatrical release on October 2, 2025, in seven languages: Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Bengali, and English—cementing its Pan-India appeal.
