Gold Price Falls in Odisha: Rs 2,000 Drop Spurs Buying Rush

Odisha witnessed a significant drop in gold prices today, sparking excitement among buyers and investors.

Rates for the yellow metal fell by nearly Rs 2,000 per 10 grams, marking one of the steepest single-day declines in recent weeks.

According to market updates, 24K gold is now priced at Rs 1,54,310 per 10 grams, while 22K gold stands at Rs 1,41,450 per 10 grams.

The fall is attributed to fluctuations in international bullion markets and currency exchange trends.

Jewellers across the state reported a surge in footfall as customers rushed to take advantage of the reduced rates, particularly those planning weddings or long‑term investments.

Analysts, however, caution that the dip may be temporary, with prices likely to rebound depending on global demand and supply dynamics.

Experts advise buyers to remain watchful of international cues, as gold continues to be a safe‑haven asset amid economic uncertainties.
