Girls dominate ICSE and ISC exams in Odisha, state records impressive pass percentage

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), May 6: In the recently declared results of the ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII examinations in Odisha, girls have showcased exceptional performance, outshining boys yet again. The state boasts an outstanding pass percentage of 99.08% in Class X and 98.90% in Class XII.

Among the 8,739 students from 93 schools who appeared for the Class X exams, girls achieved a remarkable pass percentage of 99.34%, while boys secured a commendable 98.85%. Similarly, in the Class XII exams, where 1,726 students from 33 schools participated, girls surpassed boys with a pass percentage of 98.95%, compared to boys’ 98.85%,.

In Bhubaneswar, Sumit Mishra and Dibyansh Kar from Loyola School topped the science stream with a score of 93.5%, while Angel Mohanty secured the highest in the commerce stream with 89.25%, and Shardhanjali Swain led the arts stream with 93.25%.

Several states and Union Territories, including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Chandigarh, Goa, Haryana, Manipur, Meghalaya, New Delhi, and Puducherry, achieved a perfect pass percentage of 100% in the ISC exam. Similarly, in the ICSE exam, 9 states and Union Territories, including Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, New Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Goa, Nagaland, Manipur, Puducherry, and Rajasthan, attained a flawless score of 100%.

Despite the remarkable achievements, the council opted not to disclose the names of ICSE and ISC toppers to prevent unhealthy competition among students.
