Soro, Balasore(Orissa Today) Feb 24: A shocking murder has rocked Balasore district. A 25-year-old woman, identified as Jyotirmayi Rana from Lingpada village in Soro, was brutally killed, allegedly over a love affair.
Jyotirmayi, working at a private company in Bhubaneswar, returned home two months ago. Today, while she was alone at home, her family members returned to find her with her throat slit. She was rushed to Soro Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
Upon receiving the information, Soro police arrived at the scene and launched an investigation. Reports indicate that two days ago, a complaint was filed at the Soro police station regarding a young man harassing Jyotirmayi. Authorities suspect the murder may be linked to this incident.
Further investigations are underway.
