
Gas Cylinder Blast in Angul’s Kulada Village Leaves Family Critical
(OT Webdesk)A devastating gas cylinder explosion rocked Kulada village under Nalco Police Station in Odisha’s Angul district early Sunday morning, leaving three members of a family critically injured.
The blast occurred around 2 AM at the residence of Bibhuti Bhushan Pradhan. The powerful explosion triggered a fire that engulfed the house, waking nearby residents.
Neighbors rushed to the scene and found Bibhuti, his wife Ratnamanjari, and their son Vignesh trapped inside. They attempted to douse the flames and alerted Nalco police.
Fire brigade personnel arrived promptly, rescued the unconscious victims, and brought the blaze under control.
The injured were initially taken to Angul District Headquarters Hospital but were later shifted to Bhubaneswar due to the severity of their burns and trauma. All three remain in critical condition.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion and assess the circumstances that led to the tragic incident
