Woman Retaliates Against Harassment. Kabisuryanagar town in Ganjam district witnessed a shocking incident on Saturday evening when a woman allegedly threw acid on a youth who had been harassing her.
The accused, reportedly fed up with repeated abuse from Budu Das of Dwarsahi, retaliated after he hurled insults outside her home.
The acid attack left Budu critically injured, with severe damage to his left eye.
He was rushed to Kabisuryanagar Hospital and later referred to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur for advanced treatment.
Police have registered a case following a complaint by the victim’s family and are interrogating the woman.
