Fresh Bomb Threats Disrupt Judicial Institutions in Odisha
Cuttack: Panic gripped three major courts in Odisha on Friday after anonymous emails warned of bombs planted inside the premises of the Cuttack District Judge Court, Puri Court, and Phulbani Court.
Authorities immediately evacuated judges, lawyers, staff, and visitors while bomb squads and sniffer dogs conducted intensive searches.
The threats come just days after a similar hoax targeted the Orissa High Court, raising concerns about repeated attempts to disrupt judicial institutions across the state.
Police confirmed that no explosives or suspicious objects were found during the searches, but investigations are ongoing.
The Cyber Cell has been roped in to trace the origin of the emails, working alongside intelligence and law enforcement agencies.
Officials assured the public that strict security measures are in place and urged citizens not to panic or spread rumours.
Lawyers and court employees expressed unease over the recurring threats, which they say have created an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty.
Authorities emphasised that the culprits will be identified and brought to justice.
