Free Coaching Announced for Civil Service Aspirants in Ganjam
In a landmark initiative to support aspiring civil servants, the Ganjam district administration has launched a free coaching programme for candidates preparing for IAS, OAS, OPSC, UPSC, OSSC, and OSSSC examinations.
The programme, titled Ganjam Lakshya Niketan, was unveiled by District Collector V. Keerthi Vasan.
It aims to identify and nurture talent across the district while easing the financial burden of costly coaching institutes.

- Eligible Areas: Berhampur, Chhatrapur, and Bhanjanagar subdivisions
- Total Seats: 50 students
- Selection Method: Written test on January 25, 2026
Selected candidates will receive structured coaching and mentorship from serving IAS and OAS officers currently posted in Ganjam.
Officers will share preparation strategies, exam insights, and administrative experiences to help students prepare effectively.
Collector Vasan emphasised that the first phase will focus on an integrated preparatory course for OPSC and UPSC aspirants.
The announcement has been widely welcomed, particularly by students from economically weaker backgrounds.
Aspirants noted that the programme’s inclusion of online learning provisions will benefit a larger pool of candidates.
This initiative reflects the district administration’s commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunity, ensuring that talented students from all backgrounds have access to quality guidance for prestigious civil service careers.
