Fourth National Lok Adalat in Khurda on December 13 | Accessible Justice for Citizens

The District Legal Services Authority has announced that the fourth National Lok Adalat of 2025 will be held on December 13 across all judicial court complexes in Khurda district.

Proceedings will take place in Bhubaneswar, Khurda, Banpur, Jatani, Tangi, Chilika, and Begunia, offering citizens a platform to resolve long-pending disputes quickly and amicably.

The Lok Adalat will address a wide range of cases, including criminal compoundable matters, cheque bounce disputes, bank loans, revenue issues, motor accident claims, labour and employment disputes, utility dues, loan defaults, matrimonial disputes (excluding divorce), land acquisition, and service-related cases such as salary and retirement benefits.

All matters will be settled through mutual agreement, ensuring accessible justice without additional financial burden.

Importantly, awards passed by the Lok Adalat are final and legally binding, and any court fees already paid will be refunded upon settlement.

Authorities have encouraged citizens to take advantage of this opportunity by registering their cases or contacting the nearest Legal Services Authority office.

The initiative is expected to save both time and money, while strengthening trust in alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
