Fourteen killed during Holi festival

Patna, Mar 15 : At least 14 people were killed in separate incidents at different places during Holi festival on Friday in Bihar.
According to the reports pouring in here, Madhubani and Begusarai reported four deaths each, Muzaffarpur three, Supaul two and Samastipur one.
The report from Madhubani said that four girls, including two siblings, met their watery grave in a ditch filled with water at Dahila village under Arer police station area.
The deceased were identified as Chanda Kumari (25) and Kajal Kumari (19), daughters of one Srikanth Roy, and Nibha Kumari (20) and Anu Kumari (19).
According to a report from Begusarai, two youths also met their watery grave in River Ganga at Kharahat village under Sahebpurkamal police station area whereas in another incident, a child was killed after he fell into the sewage tank of a school in Chamtha village under Bachhwada police station area.
In another accident, a youth was killed when his motorcycle collided with another speeding motorcycle near railway over bridge under Zero Mile Sahayak police station area.
A report from Supaul said that two people were killed in collision between two motorcycles near Khattar Chowk on Triveniganj Jadiya National Highway under Triveniganj police station area.
According to a report from Samastipur, a youth identified as Sanjan Kumar (24) of Dhanhar village was killed in a road accident as his motorcycle dashed with a roadside shop when he was returning to his home after celebrating the holy festival.(UNI)
