Sundargarh,  — A devastating road accident near K Balang on National Highway 520 claimed the lives of five passengers and left more than ten critically injured on Thursday morning.

The mishap involved a passenger bus named Lingaraj, en route from Rourkela to Koida, which collided head-on with a truck under unclear circumstances. The impact was severe, resulting in multiple fatalities on the spot and serious injuries among other passengers.

Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic, with locals and emergency responders working together to extract victims from the mangled wreckage. Rescue teams swiftly transported the injured to nearby hospitals for urgent medical attention.
