Explosion in Mayurbhanj kills cracker merchant

Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), June 24: Odisha will experience monsoon rains for the next four days, with light to moderate rainfall already occurring in various regions. The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center has forecasted rain across most parts of the state during this period.

A yellow warning has been issued for lightning, thunder, and rain in most parts of coastal, northern, and western Odisha over the next 24 hours. Winds are expected to reach speeds of 30 to 40 km per hour. Rainfall is predicted to continue across most areas tomorrow as well.

The intensity of the rain will increase starting June 26. A yellow warning has been issued for heavy rain in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Kalahandi, and Koraput on June 26.
On June 27, heavy rain warnings have been issued for Ganjam, Rayagada, and Koraput, along with five other districts. While the monsoon arrived in Odisha on time, the lack of sufficient rainfall has raised concerns. The state has recorded 91.8 mm of rainfall so far, which is 41 percent below the normal level.
