EuroKids launches Harvard-inspired ‘Heureka’ curriculum in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 (UNI) EuroKids, India’s leading preschool network, today launched the eighth edition of its curriculum, Heureka, in Odisha.
The curriculum is inspired by Harvard University’s Project Zero and aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, focusing on nurturing critical and creative thinking among young learners.
As part of its expansion strategy, EuroKids announced plans to open 32 new centres in Odisha over the next five years, raising the total from 43 to 75. The initiative aims to strengthen the state’s early childhood education ecosystem.
Heureka marks a paradigm shift from teaching children “what to think” to equipping them with skills on “how to think.”
It incorporates 20 structured Harvard-inspired thinking routines designed to spark curiosity, foster imagination, and cultivate critical thinking.
Developed through 18 months of research, pilot testing, and refinement, the curriculum is anchored in the EPICS philosophy—emphasising Emotional, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, and Spiritual development, areas often overlooked in traditional education systems.
The program is supported by 13 distinct modules, including CodeQuest, EuroKonect, EuroFit, EuroArt, and Elevate, among others, tailored to each child’s learning journey for both academic and personal growth.
Announcing the launch, KVS Seshasai, CEO, Pre-K Division, EuroKids, said, “We believe in laying the foundation for lifelong learning by nurturing curiosity and critical thinking from as early as two years old.”
Dr. Anita Madan, Head of Curriculum Development, EuroKids, described Heureka as “the most innovative curriculum in the Early Childhood Care and Education space.” She added.
“With the EPICS framework, we’re not just focusing on IQ, but also on emotional, physical, creative, and spiritual development.
“We want children not only to answer questions but also to question answers. This cultivates curiosity, critical analysis, and deeper engagement with the world,” Dr Anita added.
She further noted that Heureka is about more than academics—it fosters a mindset that empowers children to make connections, solve problems, and engage meaningfully with their surroundings.
EuroKids has also upgraded its HomeBuddy app to complement the curriculum, offering interactive content that supports cognitive development while ensuring balanced screen time.
