ED vs. Congress: Court to Rule on National Herald Complaint July 29

New Delhi, July 14(OT Webdesk): In a significant development, the Rouse Avenue Court on Monday reserved its order on whether to take cognisance of the Enforcement Directorate’s prosecution complaint against senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others in connection with the National Herald money laundering case.

The case revolves around alleged financial irregularities and money laundering in the acquisition of Associated Journals Limited (AJL), publisher of the now-defunct National Herald newspaper.

The ED’s complaint, akin to a chargesheet under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), marks a critical moment in the ongoing legal proceedings.

After hearing detailed submissions, the court has scheduled the pronouncement of its decision for July 29. The outcome is expected to determine the trajectory of future legal action in this politically sensitive matter.
