ED Seals Archana Nag’s Rs 3.64 Crore Mansion in Bhubaneswar Amid Sextortion Probe
Bhubaneswar, September 12 — In a major development in Odisha’s high-profile sextortion case, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has sealed the opulent residence of Archana Nag, the prime accused in a blackmail and extortion racket that allegedly targeted influential figures across politics and business.
The mansion, located in Bhubaneswar and valued at Rs 3.64 crore, was provisionally attached in January 2023 under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). ED officials suspect the property was acquired using illicit funds generated through criminal activities linked to the sextortion network.
Nag was arrested in 2022 following explosive allegations of exploiting and extorting powerful individuals.
The ED’s latest move marks a significant escalation in its investigation, which now includes scrutiny of financial records, digital evidence, and connections to other suspects.
The case has captivated public attention due to its sensational nature and the involvement of high-profile personalities.
The sealing of the mansion underscores the agency’s commitment to cracking down on organized financial crimes and recovering assets obtained through unlawful means.
