ED heat on AAP in alleged Rs 5,590 cr hospital construction scam

New Delhi, Aug 26 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) is conducting search operations at thirteen locations including the house of AAP leader Saurabh Bhardwaj in Delhi in connection with the Rs 5590 Crore PMLA case related to the construction of 24 Hospitals in the capital.
ED sources said that searches are currently going on at thirteen locations.
The Prevention of Money Laundering (PMLA) case is related to the alleged Delhi Hospital constitution case that took place in 2018-19. This is related to the construction of hospitals in the capital.

The cost of the hospitals escalated due to delay in the construction.
It was 2018-19 when the AAP Government approved the construction of the hospitals. However, the projects were not complete on time.

The case of Enforcement Directorate (ED) is based on the FIR registered by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB).

The ED is currently investigating the alleged scam that took place during the construction of hospitals in Delhi.

The FIR says that AAP was allegedly involved in the corruption in the constitution of 24 hospitals.

ED’s case is against former ministers Saurabh Bhardwaj and Satyendar Jain.
AAP has not issued any statement as of now.
