ECoR Pledges Citizen-Centric Governance with Seva Sankalp
Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has formally reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability, and citizen-centric governance by reading out the Seva Sankalp Resolution at Rail Sadan in Bhubaneswar.
The event was chaired by General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal, with Principal Heads of Departments, senior officers, and staff in attendance.
Simultaneous meetings were held across all divisions to ensure the message reached every corner of the railway network.
The Resolution emphasises “Seva” (service) as the guiding principle of Indian Railways, marking a decisive shift away from colonial-era administrative practices toward governance rooted in Indian values and public welfare.
During deliberations, department heads discussed practical measures to implement the Resolution, focusing on improving service delivery, enhancing passenger amenities, and strengthening safety mechanisms.
The collective reading of the Resolution symbolised ECoR’s renewed resolve to align with the Government of India’s vision for efficient, people-focused railway services, setting a clear roadmap for action in the days ahead.
