ECoR honours four railway employees for exemplary dedication to duty

Bhubaneswar, July 28 (UNI) East Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal honoured four frontline railway employees for their exemplary commitment and alertness in ensuring safe and smooth train operations.

The railway employees, who were honoured, are Birendra Prasad Gorain, Track Maintainer-IV at Dabpal; Rohit Kumar, Track Maintainer-IV at Kumhar Sodra; Abhimanyu Dalei, Traffic Pointsman at Jakhapura and Goutam Majhi, Track Maintainer-I at Jarapada.

They were felicitated for their quick thinking and proactive actions that ensured smooth and safe operation of trains under their watch.

Their timely actions and proactive approach averted possible operational hindrances and upheld the safety standards of the railway network.

While presenting the awards, Funkwal commended their commitment and the critical role played by railway personnel working in the field.

“Our frontline staff — including Track, signal & OHE Maintainers, Loco Pilots, Technicians, and Station Managers — are the backbone of our daily operations. Their vigilance and dedication are what keep our network running efficiently and safely,” he stated.
