Bhubaneswar, May 2 (UNI) The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has decided to change the terminal point of three trains from the existing Bhubaneswar Main Station to the newly developed Bhubaneswar New Station.
The trains affected by this change are 11020/11019 Bhubaneswar–CSMT Mumbai–Bhubaneswar Konark Express,17015/17016 Bhubaneswar–Secunderabad–Bhubaneswar Visakha Express, and 22819/22820 Bhubaneswar–Visakhapatnam–Bhubaneswar InterCity Express.
The 11019 Mumbai–Bhubaneswar Konark Express, starting from Mumbai on May 11, will now terminate at Bhubaneswar New Station.
After reaching Bhubaneswar Main Station at its scheduled time, the train will depart at 23:55 hrs for Bhubaneswar New Station and arrive there at 00:20 hrs.
The 11020 Bhubaneswar–Mumbai Konark Express will originate from Bhubaneswar New Station at 14:40 hrs from May 12, instead of Bhubaneswar Main Station.
This train will arrive at Mancheswar at 14:48 hrs and depart at 14:50 hrs towards Bhubaneswar Main Station. After reaching Bhubaneswar Main at 15:00 hrs, it will proceed towards Mumbai as per its earlier schedule.
Similarly, the 17016 Secunderabad–Bhubaneswar Visakha Express, starting from Secunderabad on May 11, will terminate at Bhubaneswar New Station.
ECoR sources said that after reaching Bhubaneswar Main Station at its scheduled time, the train will depart at 16:00 hrs for Bhubaneswar New. It will arrive at Mancheswar at 16:04 hrs and depart at 16:06 hrs to reach Bhubaneswar New Station at 16:25 hrs.
The 17015 Bhubaneswar–Secunderabad Visakha Express will originate from Bhubaneswar New Station at 08:00 hrs from May 12, instead of Bhubaneswar Main Station.
The train will arrive at Mancheswar at 08:08 hrs and depart at 08:10 hrs for Bhubaneswar Main Station. After reaching there at 08:20 hrs, it will depart for Secunderabad at its earlier scheduled time of 08:40 hrs.
In addition, the 22820 Visakhapatnam–Bhubaneswar InterCity Express, starting from Visakhapatnam on May 12, will terminate at Bhubaneswar New Station.
After reaching Bhubaneswar Main Station at its scheduled time, it will depart at 00:15 hrs and arrive at Bhubaneswar New Station at 00:35 hrs.
The 22819 Bhubaneswar–Visakhapatnam InterCity Express will originate from Bhubaneswar New Station at 07:15 hrs from May 12, instead of Bhubaneswar Main Station.
The train will arrive at Mancheswar at 07:18 hrs and depart at 07:20 hrs towards Bhubaneswar Main Station. After reaching there at 07:25 hrs, it will depart for Visakhapatnam at its earlier scheduled time of 07:45 hrs.
According to ECoR sources, the change in terminal point will benefit passengers from North Bhubaneswar, Athgarh, and Cuttack areas.
All the above trains will have a two-minute stoppage at Mancheswar Railway Station in both directions. They will also halt at Bhubaneswar Main Station for 20 minutes.
