ECoR Announces Major Train Disruptions Between Jajpur Keonjhar Road and Bhadrak from Sept 16–22
Bhubaneswar, Sept 16, 2025 — The East Coast Railway (ECoR) has issued a public advisory regarding significant changes in train operations due to safety-related modernisation work between Jajpur Keonjhar Road and Bhadrak. The disruptions will affect several passenger services from September 16 to 22, 2025.
Cancelled Services
- The Puri–Jaleswar–Puri MEMU (68442/68441) will not operate on September 16, 19, 20, and 22.
Short-Terminated & Originated Trains
- Bhadrak MEMU (68424) will terminate at Jajpur Keonjhar Road on Sept 17 & 21.
- Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU (68423) will originate from Jajpur Keonjhar Road on the same dates.
- Cuttack–Bhadrak MEMU (68438) will terminate early on Sept 19 & 22.
- Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU (68437) will begin from Jajpur Keonjhar Road on those days.
Rescheduled Trains
- Falaknuma Express (12703): Delayed by 1 hr 30 mins on Sept 17 & 21.
- Chennai–Howrah Express (12840): Delayed by 2 hrs on Sept 18 & 21.
- Puri–Jaynagar Express (18419): Delayed by 1 hr on Sept 19.
ECoR has urged passengers to verify train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience. These temporary changes are part of a broader initiative to enhance safety and infrastructure along the route
