Durga Puja 2025: Odisha Police Plan Robust Security Measures Across Central Range

Cuttack, Odisha — September 16, 2025. In a decisive move to ensure public safety and communal harmony during the upcoming Durga Puja and Laxmi Puja celebrations, the Central Range Police convened a high-level strategy meeting in Cuttack.

Chaired by DIG Dr. Satyajit Naik, the session brought together Superintendents of Police from seven districts—Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Kendrapada, Jajpur, and Jagatsingpur.

The meeting focused on bolstering law enforcement efforts, deploying adequate personnel, and enhancing surveillance across key festive zones. Crowd management protocols and crime prevention strategies were also discussed to maintain order during the high-footfall events.

Dr. Naik emphasised the importance of inter-district coordination and community engagement. “Our goal is to create a secure and festive atmosphere where citizens can celebrate without fear.

Strengthening ties with the community is at the heart of our strategy,” he stated.

With Odisha gearing up for one of its most vibrant cultural seasons, the police aim to foster trust and cooperation between law enforcement and the public, ensuring that tradition and safety go hand in hand.
