Bhubaneswar, Jan 9: In an initiative to combat malpractice, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in Odisha will form district-level squads for the upcoming Plus 2 Examination-2025. CHSE Controller of Examination, Prasanta Kumar Parida, announced on Thursday that each of the 30 districts will have dedicated squads to ensure the integrity of the examination process.
The decision follows a successful pilot program last year, where district-level squads were implemented in three southern Odisha districts—Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangpur. The positive outcomes of this trial led the authorities to expand the initiative statewide.
Parida explained that the previous state-level squads faced challenges in reaching all districts during the annual examination. This year, the new structure will involve deploying two squads in larger districts and one squad in smaller ones, with all expenses covered by the CHSE.
To further enhance the examination’s credibility, Parida emphasized that relatives of candidates will not be allowed to participate in the examination’s conduct. The Plus 2 examinations in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational courses are scheduled to take place from February 18 to March 27, 2025.
