Dharmendra Pradhan Launches Rs 101 Cr Development Drive in Dhamnagar

Dhamnagar, Odisha: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday laid the foundation stones for 21 development projects worth Rs 101 crore in Dhamnagar, reaffirming the government’s commitment to preserving history while building the future.

Pradhan began his visit with a bike rally to the historic Mukundadeva Peeth at Gohiratikhiri, where he offered prayers at the sacred Arjuna tree and paid floral tributes to Utkal’s last independent king, Mukundadeva. He also reviewed the Mukundadeva Memorial Foundation project.

Marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Pradhan joined the Ekta Padayatra, which saw thousands of participants from diverse backgrounds walking from Dobal Bus Stand to Kalibazar.

Addressing a public meeting at Dobal Kali Padia, he assured that the government would take steps for the holistic development of Gohiratikhiri, a site symbolising the valour of Utkal’s sons.
