Dharmendra Pradhan Launches CII Career Centre in Sambalpur, Hands Out Jobs to Youth
Sambalpur, Odisha: Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan inaugurated the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Model Career Centre (MCC) in Sambalpur, marking a significant step toward empowering local youth with career guidance and skill development.
The MCC will provide counselling aligned with students’ education and interests, while also offering modern skill training through CII’s industry partners.
During the event, Pradhan distributed employment letters to 40 trained youths, including placements at Tata Electronics in Bengaluru with annual salaries of around Rs 2 lakh.
In collaboration with JITCO, 17 youths will soon travel to Japan for jobs in the manufacturing and hospitality sectors. Pradhan also urged companies such as Bajaj and JCB to establish factories in Odisha or recruit skilled local talent.
Highlighting Sambalpur’s rich culture and the Hirakud Dam, Pradhan described the region as a hub of “Shram Shakti” and emphasised its role in the Prime Minister’s vision of building a developed Odisha and India.
He called the inauguration a special gift to the youth on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
