Development Commissioner Pushes for Speedy Water Project Clearances in Odisha
Bhubaneswar, November 26: Development Commissioner‑cum‑Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg has called for faster clearances and timely execution of Odisha’s ongoing water resource projects.
Chairing a review meeting with senior officers, Garg emphasised the need to expedite pending approvals, accelerate tender processes, and ensure swift implementation of priority schemes.
She urged officers and Jal Prabharis to conduct regular field visits, directly engage with communities, and closely monitor progress.
Highlighting the importance of accountability, Garg stressed that projects such as Kanupur, Brutang, Ong, and Bhimkund must be reviewed consistently to avoid delays.
The meeting underscored the government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure and ensuring efficient delivery of water resources across the state.
