Dense fog to persist in Odisha for two more days, IMD issues warning

Bhubaneswar,(Orissa Today) Feb 1: Dense fog, which has disrupted normal life in several parts of Odisha over the past few days, is expected to continue affecting multiple areas for the next two days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported on Saturday.
According to a weather bulletin from the Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre, there will be no significant change in the minimum temperature across the state for the next 4-5 days.
A yellow warning has been issued for dense fog in several districts, including Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Angul, Keonjhar, Khurda, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, and Kandhamal, up to Sunday morning. Additionally, shallow to moderate fog is likely during early morning hours in these districts, as well as in Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, and Sonepur.
On Monday morning, dense fog is predicted in isolated locations in Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Ganjam, and Gajapati. Shallow to moderate fog is also expected in these districts and at a few places in Bhadrak.
Authorities have advised commuters to exercise caution while traveling in the early morning due to reduced visibility.
