Deepak Rout Accused of Murdering First Wife Aparna Priyadarshini; Police Uncover Crucial Evidence

Bhubaneswar, Oct 22 — In a chilling twist to a case initially dismissed as a road accident, Bhubaneswar police have uncovered damning evidence suggesting that Aparna Priyadarshini, the first wife of Deepak Rout, was murdered in 2022.

Rout, who is already in custody for the recent killing of Constable Subhamitra, is now facing fresh charges in connection with his wife’s death.

Aparna was declared dead following a car crash near Radhakishorepur while travelling from Dhenkanal to Bhubaneswar. Rout had claimed it was a tragic accident. However, a re-investigation has revealed inconsistencies in the original postmortem report.

A new forensic team has confirmed that the injuries sustained were not consistent with a vehicular accident, but were indicative of foul play.

Police have interrogated multiple individuals, including Aparna’s family members, the original investigating officers, medical staff involved in the autopsy, and Rout’s relatives.

A female constable from the Commissionerate Police, reportedly close to Rout, was also questioned.

Authorities have seized all documents related to the original case and are preparing to conduct a forensic detection test on Rout. The investigation continues to unravel what appears to be a calculated cover-up of a premeditated murder.
