Debagarh Minor Girl Rape Accusation: Accused Detained After Villagers’ Intervention
Debagarh, Odisha – A shocking incident has surfaced in Debagarh district, where a five‑year‑old minor girl was allegedly raped by a man identified as Udit Patra of Baliroi village.
According to reports, the accused was under the influence of alcohol when he committed the crime.
The child’s cries alerted villagers, who rushed to the spot, rescued her, and caught the accused. In a fit of anger, the locals assaulted him, leaving him with head and body injuries.
He was later admitted tothe hospital for treatment.
Police have detained the accused and confirmed that he will be produced in court after his medical recovery. Meanwhile, doctors have stated that the girl’s health condition is stable.
