Paradip,(Orissa Today) Nov 10 : A literature conclave was conducted under the presidency of the Department of Language on 9th November 2024. It was a magnificent event of its type ever conducted in the school. Children from another two DAVs (DAV PPL, DAV IFFCO), KV Paradeep Port, and DPS Refinary came and participated in multifarious competitions like Sloka Chanting (Sanskrit) and Extempore Speech (English) and presented their indispensable views before the assembly of men of letters and scholarly academicians.
Dr. Satya Narayan Panda, principal, govt. Hindi Teachers’ Training Institute, Cuttack graced the chair of the guest of honour. Mr., Ganeswar Patra HOD English Dept. Paradeep College, and Ms. Kadambini Sahoo Lecturer of Odia, Paradeep College, was invited as illustrious elocutionists.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Sahoo (Principal DAV PPL) was the distinguished guest of the day to orient the children to dive into the oceanic field of literature. Host principal Mrs. Bindushree Mohanty and her entire team made the programme a successful one, boosted with pomp and gaiety. It was an exuberant moment for all the children to express them through their own words. Some of the students participated in an open session discussion on ‘Literature of Identity: Exploring Self and Culture’.
The esteemed speakers motivated the students with their inspiring words and elucidated the Literature of Identity and how both are reciprocal to each other. Students as well as the entire team of audience were repleted with enthusiasm.
