Cyclonic Circulation Triggers Yellow Warning Across Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic circulation over Odisha has prompted the Regional Meteorological Centre to issue a yellow warning for 23 districts.

The system, extending up to 1.5 km above sea level, is expected to bring light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds reaching 30–40 km/h, and isolated hailstorms.

The weather office has advised residents to remain cautious during thunderstorm activity.

Rainfall is likely to continue through Sunday and Monday (March 8–9), with cloudy skies prevailing across most districts.

Conditions are expected to ease after March 9, with only isolated showers forecast thereafter.

This alert underscores the need for preparedness as Odisha braces for unstable weather conditions in the coming days.
