Cuttack Development Authority Introduces Cashless Payment System for Transactions up to ₹5 Lakh

Cuttack, Odisha: In a major step towards digital governance, the Cuttack Development Authority (CDA) has rolled out a cashless payment facility at its Arunodaya Bhawan office, enabling citizens to make digital transactions up to Rs 5 lakh.

The new system allows payments through QR Code, UPI, and card swipe, eliminating the need for demand drafts and reducing repeated bank visits.

A dedicated Digital Payment Cell has been set up at the Finance Branch single-window counter to manage transactions and ensure proper record-keeping.

CDA Vice-Chairperson Kirandeep Kaur Sahota, IAS, highlighted that the initiative will enhance transparency, efficiency, and citizen convenience.

All branch officers are required to submit demand letters to the Digital Payment Cell for monitoring, ensuring accountability in financial operations.

This move aligns with the broader vision of smart governance and cashless urban administration, making public services more accessible and citizen-friendly.
