Cuttack Colleges Face Salary Suspension Over ICC Report Non-Compliance

Cuttack(OT Webdesk): In a sweeping administrative move, the Cuttack district administration has initiated disciplinary action against colleges that failed to submit mandatory Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) reports

Out of 210 colleges in the district, more than half have reportedly ignored official directives requiring detailed documentation of ICC activities.

The reports were expected to include complainant contact details and the principal’s signature—key elements in ensuring transparency and institutional accountability.

The Collector has ordered the immediate suspension of salaries for employees in non-compliant institutions. Principals of these colleges face suspension if reports are not submitted within 24 hours.

Officials emphasized that ICC documentation is not optional—it is a legal and ethical mandate aimed at fostering gender-sensitive governance and preventing harassment in educational spaces.

The crackdown signals a zero-tolerance stance on administrative negligence and reinforces the importance of student welfare protocols.
