Commercial LPG Cylinders Get Rs 58.50 Cheaper from July 1; Domestic Users Left Behind Again

Commercial LPG price cut July 2025

Bhubaneswar(OT Webdesk): In a move set to ease operational expenses for the hospitality and commercial sectors, oil marketing companies have slashed the price of 19 kg commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 58.50, effective July 1. The revised price in Delhi now stands at Rs 1,665—marking the fourth consecutive monthly reduction.

Despite easing global crude oil prices—India’s crude basket recently hit a three-year low at $64.5 per barrel—there’s been no parallel price relief for households.

The 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged, a trend that has sparked criticism from consumer advocates and analysts alike. Domestic users make up nearly 90% of India’s LPG consumption.

While businesses welcome the drop, citing improved cost efficiencies, the lack of change on the domestic front raises questions as Budget 2025 nears. “This underscores a persistent policy imbalance that overlooks ordinary citizens,” noted an energy sector analyst.

City-specific commercial LPG rates are now Rs 1,747.50 in Noida, Rs 1,769 in Kolkata, Rs 1,616 in Mumbai, Rs 1,881 in Chennai, and Rs 1,796 in Bengaluru.

Analysts expect upcoming budget announcements to offer clarity on potential subsidies or relief measures for household users grappling with inflation.
