CM Naveen thanks Odisha as state tops RTE retention in 2023-24

Bhubaneswar, Sep 11 (UNI) Former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed happiness over Odisha achieving the highest student retention rate under the Right to Education (RTE) Act during 2023-24.
In a post on his social media platform X today, Patnaik wrote, “Glad to share that #Odisha has recorded the highest retention rate among students of four states enrolled under the Right to Education (RTE) Act during 2023-24.”
According to the Right to Education Retention Report published by Indus Action, Odisha achieved an impressive retention score of 97 percent.
Patnaik credited the state’s effective implementation strategies and collective dedication in ensuring children from disadvantaged backgrounds access quality education and continue their studies.
Highlighting the government’s efforts, the BJD supremo stated, “Under our #5T initiative, we have transformed about 7,000 government schools to open new horizons for students.”
As Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly, Patnaik added, “We have always believed that #NewOdisha will be built by empowering every child with quality education.”
He extended his gratitude to teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff for their commitment to shaping a brighter future for students.
