Bhubaneswar(OT Webdesk): Marking the completion of its first year in office, the BJP government in Odisha, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, launched the ambitious ‘Vikas Vahan’ outreach program on Thursday.

The initiative, flagged off at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar, aims to enhance awareness of government welfare schemes and highlight the administration’s achievements over the past year.

The Vikas Vahan fleet comprises specially designed campaign vehicles equipped with audio-visual materials and staffed with trained personnel.

These mobile units will travel across 314 blocks, 115 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and five municipal corporations, ensuring direct engagement with residents at the grassroots level.

Officials emphasised that the initiative reflects the BJP’s commitment to inclusive governance and aims to bridge the information gap while promoting transparency.

By visiting every panchayat, the campaign seeks to encourage greater citizen participation in development programs and government initiatives.

The Odisha government views ‘Vikas Vahan’ as a key milestone in its mission to build public trust through grassroots communication.

Through this effort, citizens will have firsthand access to details on welfare schemes, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the state’s progress.
