Bhubaneswar, (Orissa Today), Sept 21: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, currently on a three-day visit to his home district of Keonjhar, enjoyed a nostalgic tea session with old friends and participated in a game of football. The day began with a morning walk at the local stadium, where Majhi relished black tea at his favorite tea stall.
During his visit, the Chief Minister expressed his ambition to establish a national-level stadium in the district, along with modern facilities in various locations to nurture national-level athletes from Keonjhar. He honored the tea stall owner, known as ‘Bideshi Babu,’ for his six decades of service, stating, “I have come here to relish ‘desi’ tea from ‘Bideshi Babu.’”
Majhi reminisced about past visits to the stall, where he engaged in discussions with friends, retired officials, and sportspersons about the district’s development. With the government’s recent completion of 100 days in office, he highlighted the launch of the ‘Subhadra Yojana’ aimed at empowering women, reaffirming his commitment to inclusive development through the effective utilization of local minerals.
