CM Majhi Seeks Divine Blessings at Puri’s Jagannath Temple
PURI, August 7 (OT Webdesk)— Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the sacred Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on Thursday, accompanied by his wife, to offer prayers and seek blessings for the state’s prosperity.
Arriving at the temple’s iconic Singhadwar (Lion’s Gate), CM Majhi was warmly received by officials from the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and the Puri district administration.
Among those present were Puri Collector Dibyajyoti Parida, SP Pinak Mishra, and Pipili MLA Ashrit Pattnayak.
Though the Chief Minister reached Puri by 4 PM, his itinerary was slightly delayed.
He first stopped at the Circuit House, where he was greeted with a bouquet before proceeding to the temple.
After offering prayers, the temple administration presented him with a sacred ‘Lagi Khandua’—a traditional textile symbolising divine blessings.
The visit highlights the enduring spiritual bond between Odisha’s leadership and its cultural heritage, reaffirming the significance of Lord Jagannath in the state’s collective consciousness.
