CM Majhi Reviews Keonjhar Development Projects, Launches Welfare Initiatives

Keonjhar, (OT Webdesk)– August 3, 2025: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a comprehensive review of development projects in Keonjhar district, unveiling a series of welfare initiatives aimed at boosting infrastructure, healthcare, education, and public services.

During his visit, CM Majhi inaugurated three advanced ambulances sponsored by the Indian Bay Birth Organisation, a mobile education unit (Ekal Rath) to promote cultural learning in remote areas, a coconut collection vehicle for Maa Tarini Temple, and a new waiting hall at the District Collector’s office.

At a high-level review meeting in Darbar Hall, the Chief Minister assessed progress across key sectors, including forest conservation, tourism, rural development, healthcare, education, irrigation, and industry.

He emphasised the need for swift implementation and high-quality execution of ongoing projects.

Infrastructure development took centre stage, with CM Majhi reviewing the Raisuan Airstrip, Keonjhar Bypass, iconic bridges, and key roadways such as Nudurapada-Kaliahata and Suakati Double Bridge.

He directed officials to expedite land acquisition and resolve forest clearance issues for upcoming projects like the Ramachandrapur-Deogaon Bridge and Barbil-Chandikhol road expansion.

The Chief Minister praised the district’s performance in implementing flagship schemes like Subhadra Yojana and Lakhpati Didi Yojana, positioning Keonjhar as a model for welfare delivery.

He also called for strategic plans to enhance industrial growth, tourism, renewable energy, and drinking water access.

The meeting was attended by MLAs, Zilla Parishad President, senior police officials, and top administrators, with CM Majhi urging collaborative efforts to make Keonjhar a benchmark for holistic development.
