CM Majhi Pushes Fast‑Track Construction of Godabarish Mishra Schools
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed officials to expedite the construction of Pandit Godabarish Mishra Model Primary Schools across the state.
Chairing a high‑level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan, Majhi emphasised the need to accelerate work on schools where foundation stones have already been laid.
The Chief Minister underscored the importance of adding more classrooms to meet future student requirements and instructed that cost estimates be prepared with accuracy in the initial phase.
He assured that additional funds would be sanctioned as needed to ensure smooth progress.
Highlighting the holistic development of children, Majhi stressed that the schools must include child‑friendly facilities such as play and recreational spaces alongside academic infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Chief Secretary Anu Garg, Development Commissioner D.K. Singh, and other senior officials.
