CM Majhi Pays Tribute to Utkal Keshari Harekrushna Mahatab on Birth Anniversary
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today honoured Utkal Keshari Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab on his birth anniversary by offering floral tributes at the leader’s statue inside the Odisha Legislative Assembly premises.
Majhi bowed in reverence before placing a bouquet at the memorial, acknowledging Mahatab’s immense contributions to Odisha’s political, cultural, and social landscape.
Fondly remembered as Utkal Keshari, Mahatab played a pivotal role in shaping modern Odisha, serving as Chief Minister and actively participating in India’s freedom struggle.
Speaking at the ceremony, Majhi highlighted Mahatab’s enduring legacy and his role in strengthening democratic values. He noted that Mahatab’s vision continues to inspire leaders and citizens alike, guiding Odisha’s progress even today.
The tribute event reflected the collective respect of the state, with dignitaries including Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond, Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Police Commissioner Surendra Devadutta Singh, and several others in attendance.
The gathering reaffirmed Mahatab’s place as one of Odisha’s most revered leaders, whose dedication to the people earned him the title Utkal Keshari.
