CM Majhi Leads Tribute to Kantakabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra on Birth Anniversary

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi paid heartfelt homage to poet and freedom fighter Kantakabi Laxmikanta Mohapatra on his birth anniversary.

The ceremony, held at Mohapatra’s statue near the State Assembly, was attended by Deputy Chief Ministers Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy Speaker Bhabani Shankar Bhoi, and several ministers and legislators.

Majhi described Mohapatra as a pioneer of Odia nationality and literature, praising his immortal composition “Bande Utkala Janani” as a timeless anthem of Odia pride and unity.

He urged citizens to draw inspiration from Mohapatra’s ideals and work collectively to enhance the glory of Odisha.

The tribute highlighted Mohapatra’s enduring role in shaping Odia literature and culture.

Leaders reaffirmed their place as one of the most influential figures in Odia history, emphasising the importance of preserving and promoting Odia heritage for future generations.
