CM Majhi congratulates Mahayuti alliance on Maharashtra local body polls victory
Bhubaneswar, Dec 22: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has extended his warm congratulations to the BJP‑led Mahayuti alliance for its sweeping victory in Maharashtra’s local body elections.
The alliance secured 207 local body president posts across 288 municipal councils and nagar panchayats, leaving the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi trailing with just 44.
In a social media post, CM Majhi praised the people’s mandate, describing it as a reflection of their trust in the party’s vision and grassroots governance.
He credited the triumph to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the people‑centric governance of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
“The decisive mandate reflects the people’s strong faith in the party’s vision and commitment to grassroots governance,” Majhi wrote, while expressing gratitude to Maharashtra’s voters and wishing the Mahayuti alliance continued success in advancing people‑focused development.
