CM Launches BharatNetra Initiative to Position Odisha as Global Fintech Hub

In a landmark move to elevate Odisha’s global standing in financial technology, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi today unveiled the BharatNetra Initiative—an Integrated Global Financial Technology Capability Hub.
The initiative aims to consolidate fintech expertise, infrastructure, and innovation under one umbrella, positioning Odisha as a strategic player in the international digital finance ecosystem.
Speaking at the launch event, CM Majhi emphasized the state’s commitment to fostering cutting-edge financial solutions, enhancing digital inclusion, and attracting global investment.
“BharatNetra will be the nucleus of fintech excellence, driving collaboration between government, industry, and academia,” said Majhi. He highlighted the initiative’s potential to generate employment, boost digital literacy, and support startups focused on blockchain, AI-driven finance, and cybersecurity.
The hub will also serve as a platform for cross-border partnerships, enabling Odisha to export fintech services and solutions globally.
With dedicated zones for research, incubation, and policy innovation, BharatNetra is expected to catalyse a new era of financial empowerment and technological leadership.
Industry leaders, policy experts, and tech entrepreneurs welcomed the move, calling it a visionary step toward inclusive and sustainable digital growth.
