In a daring rescue operation, members of Odisha’s transgender community successfully saved a four-year-old boy abducted from the Thakurmunda market in Mayurbhanj district. The accused, Lipu Nayak, falsely identified as transgender to carry out the abduction and has been handed over to the police. Nayak claimed he intended to reunite the child with his family after losing his mother at the Maa Basulei fair.
The incident has sparked outrage among the transgender community, who have demanded strict legal action against individuals exploiting their identity for criminal activities. The child has been safely reunited with his family, while authorities continue their investigation into the matter.
